While pre-natal care, L & D should be free, why stop at birth? What about pro-life politicians stop cutting SNAP and Medicaid as soon as they take office? What about subsidized day care so mom can work? This would go a long way to reverse people’s stereotype of pro-lifers only care about the unborn and not the born. While we’re at it, consider the 2y/o in status asthmaticus whose family does not have health insurance? That child is just in danger of death as a baby whose mom is determined to get rid of it. Life does, indeed, begin at conception. However–here’s the kicker–life does not end at birth.
