James L. Buckley

James L. Buckley has served in all three branches of the federal government. He was a United States Senator from New York when he wrote, in 1974, his Human Life Amendment, which appeared in the first issue of the Human Life Review. He served as Under Secretary of State and President of Radio Free Europe under President Reagan; Reagan then appointed him to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He is the author of several books, the most recent being Saving Congress from Itself: Emancipating the States and Empowering Their People (2014).
