Fr. Peter Martyr Yungwirth, O.P. grew up in Maryland in a large family. He attended the University of Maryland and then the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. He was ordained to the Catholic priesthood in 2014. He worked in the chaplain’s office at Providence College for 6 1/2 years after which he was assigned as the pastor of the Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer and St. Catherine of Siena in New York City. He enjoys hikes, ice cream, and great dad jokes.
