“Black women take care of their families by taking care of themselves.” Those words are emblazoned across a billboard in Dallas right now, aimed at destigmatizing abortion among black women.

It goes on to read in big bold letters, “ABORTION IS SELF-CARE” next to the smiling faces of three black women, with the hashtag #trustblackwomen.
