. Canon Victor Lee Austin, Ph.D., is theologian-in-residence for the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. Before moving to Dallas, he served at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, and before that he was a parish priest in New York’s Hudson Valley. He writes at the intersection of theology and everyday life; his books have covered topics such as friendship, being a priest in New York, and what authority really is.
