Colorado Teen Dies From Planned Parenthood Abortion. Media Is Mum

A Colorado teen died after undergoing an abortion through Planned Parenthood, though the media and local officials have tried to bury the story.

“Eighteen-year-old Lexi Arguello died after undergoing an abortion at a Planned Parenthood in Fort Collins, Colorado, in 2025,” Live Action reported recently. “She was 22 weeks pregnant.”

The only reason the issue is now fully coming to the light is that a court forced the local coroner to release the full autopsy report. A family member of the deceased first told a pro-life medical official about the story last year, but it took a full year for Operation Rescue and Life Legal to get the autopsy.

Stephen Hanks, the Larimer County coroner, wanted to redact important details from the report, arguing that releasing it “might discourage someone from seeking reproductive healthcare during their life.”

The report would also cast Planned Parenthood in a bad light, as it adds further evidence to arguments from Arguello’s family that the abortion vendor is responsible for her death. The abortion facility reportedly delayed getting her care, even asking the ambulance not to turn on its emergency lights.

“Lexi’s grandfather was told by the abortion providers that she was transferred too late,” Dr. Keri Kasun, a pro-life pharmacist, stated. “She didn’t receive the urgency of care that would be required in order to have a chance to survive this condition; instead, she got a silent siren treatment.”

She died of “amniotic fluid embolism,” which led to “uncontrollable bleeding,” according to Live Action.

But yet, consider how the media treated this story compared to other stories of women allegedly dying due to abortion restrictions.

I could not find any mainstream Colorado or national publication carrying this story. The only coverage of her death came from pro-life or conservative publications, such as the Washington Examiner, Washington Times, or LifeNews.com.

The story would not exactly be hidden to Colorado news publications; the original fact that she died at Planned Parenthood last year was made public during a hearing on a bill to regulate abortion facilities in the state.

Fort Collins’ local newspaper, the Coloradoan, even has a “government accountability reporter” who writes about abortion and specifically Larimer County. Somehow she missed a story about the local coroner hiding an autopsy.

Contrast that with national news coverage of the deaths of two Georgia women.

The media was all over the tragic stories of Amber Thurman and Candi Miller, who reportedly died due to Georgia’s abortion restrictions. The stories were repeated on the campaign trail by Vice President Kamala Harris. But in reality, both died not because of laws against abortion, but for other reasons.

Thurman, the media says, died because after she took the two abortion pills which she obtained online, she developed sepsis. Georgia doctors were too scared to perform a dilation and curettage on her to remove the two dead babies inside of her, allegedly, because of the pro-life law. Yet nothing in the law forbids this practice.

Miller, likewise, died because she took abortion pills to end her high-risk pregnancy. Left-wing narratives about Georgia’s law also played a role, according to pro-life OB/GYN Christina Francis. “According to her family, Candi similarly feared that her state’s abortion law would prevent her medical team from treating her should her several pre-existing health conditions pose a serious risk during her pregnancy.”

The mainstream media doesn’t want the public to know the story about Lexi Arguello. To them, abortion is simply about a woman’s bodily autonomy and is something that happens in the privacy of a clean Planned Parenthood facility done by a caring doctor or at home with completely safe pills.

But the reality of abortion is much more gruesome, as every abortion aims to end a human life. Tragically for Lexi Arguello, her abortion ended two.
